Is GRP any good?
GRP (fibreglass) is particularly a good option for Insulated Lantern Conservatory Roofs, where an existing conservatory or extension roof had a box gutter against the house, which commonly occurs on bungalows or houses with low roofs or extensions. Because a GRP roof is relatively flat, it can do away with the need for a box gutter completely. Box gutters are notorious for leaking after they have been installed for a few years, particularly if they are not cleaned out and maintained regularly.
GRP Lantern Solid, Insulated Conservatory Roofs are exceptionally weatherproof when applied correctly and pose little risk of frost damage or leaking. Bridgfords make sure that the installation is correctly sealed to other structures with appropriate flashing and install new guttering to ensure a complete water tight, durable finish. It looks a lot nicer & modern than a felt roof and should last a lot longer.
Of course GRP is only the outer layer and Bridgfords will ensure that the wooden structure, insulation, electrics, windows and plasterwork are refurbished or replaced as required.
